Beyond All

A movie ticket, so gray and worn,
A sad bouquet, pressed and forlorn.
          A painted heart of a second’s bliss,
Whose memories lie within a kiss.
Holding hands for what seems like ages,
Writing notes on loves sweetened pages.
And patching up a tattered heart,
With present dreams that won’t depart.
          Caring cares you’ve never seen,
For on new gates, your hopes may lean.
          Taking chances you never took,
A chapter in a brand new book.
Now as with wings, your fears depart.
Giving to life, a brand new start.
Little things you do will say,
Love comes now in a special way.
With hopes that make you ten feet tall,
You dwell with love that is beyond all.
